Any camera decision will obviously take relative prices into account. The listed launch prices provide an indication of the market segment that the manufacturer of the cameras have been targeting. The R5 Mark II was somewhat cheaper (by 4 percent) than the 1D Mark III at launch, but both cameras fall into the same price category. The Canon EOS-1D Mark III has a native sensitivity range from ISO 100 to ISO 3200, which can be extended to ISO 50-6400. The corresponding ISO settings for the Canon EOS R5 Mark II are ISO 100 to ISO 51200, with the possibility to increase the ISO range to 50-102400.
